Braun A. Hamstead, Esq., is a lifelong Jefferson County resident. He was born in Jefferson County on August 20, 1948. He has been admitted to the bar since 1977. He has served as an adjunct professor for environmental law courses at ShepherdUniversity, and has given presentations for attorneys and real estate agents at numerous accredited seminars on the subjects of environmental law, real estate, agency law, and planning & zoning. He worked his way through college as an electrician's apprentice. After undergraduate school, he served as an environmental sanitarian for the West Virginia State Health Department as well as the Berkeley County Health Department. He has also served as a Planner for Region 9 Planning and Development Council. He opened the State's regional Health Department, originally located in Martinsburg, WV. He continues his family's agricultural interests by cultivating evergreen trees located on three different West Virginia locations. Mr. Hamstead plays keyboards, guitar, and is also a vocalist performing in local venues with his wife Julie, who plays violin. Mr. Hamstead was also a varsity tennis letterman at West Virginia University.

Andrew F. Pahl, Esq. - Associate Attorney- is a 2013 graduate of the West Virginia University, College of Law, where he received his J.D. While in law school, Andrew was a member of the W. Va. Law Review and the Lugar Trial Association. He was also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society where he was certified by the W. Va. State Bar to mediate in the State's magistrate courts. While in law school, Andrew authored an article, Arguments for an NCAA Paternity Waiver: A Student-Athlete Father and His Relationship with Title IX and the Equal Protection Clause, which was published by the Willamette Sports Law Journal in the Spring of 2014. Prior to law school, he attended Shepherd University, where he double majored in Business Finance and Economics. Andrew is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia.
At Hamstead & Associates, Andrew focuses much of his attention upon Homeowner Associations and Domestic Relations. He assists in litigation and serves as co-counsel before the Court. Andrew also assists in legal research for the firm.
Julie Hamstead - Office Manager/Paralegal - Julie holds a Bachelar of Arts degree from Shepherd University in english and has some 15 years experience in real estate closing work. Julie is originally from Ohio, but has lived in West Virginia for the majority of her life. Julie has four children.
